See how many of your pages Bing has indexed, identify crawl errors, and understand your sitemap submission status, all alongside Google Search Console for comparison.
Why it matters
Why Bing Webmaster Tools customers need AI visibility tracking
Bing has long been treated as the second tier search engine, but its strategic importance grew massively in 2024 and 2025 because of Microsoft Copilot and the Bing index powering OpenAI ChatGPT search. Bing now indirectly drives a portion of citations that show up in ChatGPT and Copilot. Tracking Bing alongside Google Search Console and AI visibility is essential for a complete picture of search performance in 2026.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Bing Webmaster Tools
How does Finseo connect to Bing Webmaster Tools?
Finseo uses the Bing Webmaster Tools API via Microsoft OAuth. You sign in with the Microsoft account that has access to your verified site. The connection is read only. Finseo cannot submit URLs, sitemaps, or change Bing settings on your behalf.
Why does Bing data matter if I already have Google Search Console?
Bing now powers Microsoft Copilot and is one of the search backends used by OpenAI ChatGPT search and browse. Tracking Bing performance is the closest proxy for understanding what Copilot and ChatGPT search will surface, even though those AI engines do not expose direct citation analytics.
Does this track Microsoft Copilot referrals?
Bing Webmaster Tools shows Bing search performance, which is a strong proxy for Copilot retrieval. Direct Copilot referral tracking depends on URL parameters and is partially available via Finseo AI Analytics. Combining both gives the most complete picture.
Can I connect multiple Bing sites?
Yes. Each Finseo project can connect one Bing Webmaster site. For multi-site setups, create separate projects and connect different sites to each.
What data is pulled from Bing Webmaster?
Finseo reads Search Performance data (queries, pages, clicks, impressions, average position), site verification status, and crawl summary data. Sitemap submission, URL inspection, and disavow file management are out of scope.
How current is the Bing data?
Bing data updates daily with a 1 to 2 day delay (same as in the native Bing Webmaster dashboard). AI visibility data updates daily with no delay. Both are visible in the same dashboard with timestamps.
Is the connection secure?
Yes. Finseo uses Microsoft OAuth with the minimum required scopes for read access. Tokens are stored encrypted. We never request write access, and we never modify your Bing site verification or any Bing settings.
Does Finseo work with Yahoo and Yandex too?
Yahoo organic search is powered by Bing under the hood, so Bing data is the proxy. Yandex is not currently supported as a direct integration. If you have specific data needs around Yandex or other regional search engines, contact us.
